DAVAO DEL NORTE – Aiming to strengthen cooperative partnership, Her Excellency Dana Kursh, Ambassador of the State of Israel to the Philippines, paid a courtesy visit to the Provincial Government of Davao del Norte on February 19, 2026.

She was formally received by Governor Edwin “Kuya Gob” Jubahib at the Tahanan ng Punong Panlalawigan, together with Vice Governor Clarice Jubahib, provincial officials, and PG Department Heads.

The visit aimed to promote mutual understanding and explore meaningful areas of cooperation between Israel and Davao del Norte.

In his remarks, Governor Jubahib underscored the province’s position as a leading agricultural province producing bananas, rice, corn, and other high-value crops for both domestic consumption and export.

He also acknowledged Israel’s global reputation in advanced agricultural technology and innovation, expressing hope for potential technology transfer and knowledge exchange to modernize DavNor’s agricultural systems.

Ambassador Kursh also conveyed their interest in exploring partnerships in agricultural technology, emergency preparedness, security, and counterterrorism, highlighting the importance of addressing shared challenges through cooperation.

The ambassador also expressed optimism that trade and bilateral engagement will continue to expand, with future exchanges of delegations between Israel and the Philippines. She also expressed that she intended to personally meet the governor, noting that his strong leadership plays a vital role in building effective and lasting partnerships.
